Our Boy Scout troop is centered on developing young men into leaders of high moral character - and to do so by challenging them in outdoor adventures. We typically meet 3-4 times per month and offer a backpacking program centering on learning leadership skills and advancement through outdoor activity. Our troop backpacks every month in the local mountains and has yearly adventures in the canyons of Utah, the Colorado River, the High Sierras, Channel Islands and more. Our boy-led program participates in many community service projects throughout the year and the boys become skilled in a wide variety subjects like First Aid, Cooking, Camping, Communications, Rock Climbing and many more.
Scouting is for boys who have completed 5th grade and 10 years of age and up. If your son enjoys the outdoors and adventure, this is the troop for him. Parents who enjoy hiking and backpacking are encouraged to join our adventures as well. Troop 276 has members from all over the Peninsula & Torrance. Please feel free to bring your future scout and any siblings to the meeting. For more information email us below.

Join us at an upcoming Troop 276 general meeting. We have the meeting most Saturdays (contact us for dates or click the Calendar) at Palos Verdes Intermediate School, in the bottom courtyard at 2161 Via Olivera, Palos Verdes Estates, CA 90274.
All interested scouts/prospects are welcome to join our unique outdoor, boy-led troop.
